The First Post
This is my first post on my own blog, so I have much to learn. As I get this figured out, I'll add more entries. But this is the beginning.

Occasional commentary on Christianity, culture, family, and politics . . . which previously originated from my outpost at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in southern Minnesota. After Pillsbury closed its doors in 2008, I moved back to Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. The blog name stays as is, as a reminder of pleasant days in southern Minnesota. And the history lesson of the day is: "The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire."

Welcome to the blogosphere. You could probably get some mileage from this statement: "The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire." I'd like to read more of your expertise in history.

Saw your blog ... got the link from your signature on Sharper Iron.
Good to meet a blogger my age!
By the way. We love Owatonna too. I'm thinking about moving there when I retire.
The quote "The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire" sounds like something from Dr. Panosian. I took Reformation History from him his last semester teaching at BJU, about 3 years ago. It was definitely one of my most interesting and helpful classes ever.
Really enjoyed seeing your blog, esp. the family photos!
